This is my twenty-fifth year to teach, twenty-fourof those being here in Vernon, Texas. Each
year promises a new adventure!
This year, I am the sponsor of the PALs program at Vernon High School. I also facilitate online
courses provided to VHS students through OdysseyWare. I am also the Student Council sponsor
at VHS.
In my years of teaching, I have taught English, Reading, Journalism, Yearbook, and Home
Economics at the middle school. I have also taught English I, English III, and Web Mastering at
the high school.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching old movies, editing digital pictures and video, and cooking.
My husband, Ken, and I have three children. Our oldest son Corey, is a postman in
Wichita Falls, Texas. Our middle child Cody, attends Midwestern State University in Wichita
Falls and works at the college as a technical assistant. Our youngest child, Jessica, also attends
Midwestern State University. Ken is the principal at Vernon Middle School.
Currently, I am pursuing my Masters in Educational Leadership through the University of Texas
at Arlington.
