“School Elections” conducted by the Stduent Council include Homecoming Queen, Valentine King and Queen, School Favorites, Prom King and Queen, and Class Officers.
“Teacher of the Week” selections are made by the Student Council members. When selected, teachers are honored throughout the week.
The “Spirit Basket Exchange” project involves the exchange of spirit football team’s Student Council members. School spirit is exemplified on and off of the field as the groups exchange kind words and baskets full of goodies.
"Attitude of Gratitude"
This group project involves members honoring ALL of the teachers at VHS with a token of appreciation each month. Students work together to prepare and distribute the items to the teachers while expressing their gratitude for the hard work their teachers do. All teachers are also honored during Teacher Appreciation Week in May with various activities sponsored by the Student Council
